At Blake Nelson, DDS, we prioritize making dentistry affordable to ensure all of our patients have the best possible care.  We offer quality, affordable dental care in Winston-Salem, NC with multiple financing options.

We accept and file all insurance policiesDr. Nelson with Daughter Ella in Winston Salem

We accept and file all dental insurance policies (with the exception of Medicaid) and will fight on your behalf, so you receive your maximum benefit.  Though we are not an in-network provider with any insurance providers, we will always explain your policy details so you can utilize all of your insurance benefits.

Financial plans are available 

We have financing plans to help you fit your needs into your budget.  We offer 3-month and 6-month interest-free financing through our office.  We also offer 12-36 month financing through Lending Club.  

Discounts for patients without dental insurance (cash pay)

We offer a 5% discount to patients without dental insurance who choose to pay with cash or check.

Office membership plans are available

For patients without dental insurance, or for those who have insurance that covers very little of their dental care, we offer membership plans.  This monthly payment plan covers the cost all preventive treatments including dental cleanings, exams, x-rays, and fluoride.

What does the office membership plan cover?

The in-office membership plan covers all preventive dental procedures. This will include:

  • Dental cleanings Dr. Nelson with Family in Winston Salem
  • Dental exams 
  • Fluoride treatment 
  • Dental x-rays 

How much does the in-office membership plan cost? 

To cover your cleanings, exams, fluoride treatment, and x-rays, members pay monthly or yearly and do not owe any additional fees for their cleaning and exam visits.  This monthly fee is automatically drafted from your credit card.  

 

How much does it cost to come to your office? 

We try to be transparent with our prices and have the majority of our fees listed on our website.  To look up fees for specific procedures, visit our Services or FAQ pages.  

  • Dental cleaning: $92
  • Routine dental exam: $53
  • Check-up x-rays (bitewings): $74
  • Fluoride treatment: $30

Paperless Payment Option for Patient Convenience 

We have added a paperless payment option to help make things easier for our patients!  Now, balances can be paid through our internet portal by simply clicking a link in an email or text.

Did you know that your dentist may recognize signs of sleep apnea during your routine dental exam?  Because sleep apnea is often associated with tooth grinding and enlarged oral soft tissue structures, your dentist may discuss whether you are experiencing other signs and symptoms of sleep apnea and refer you to your physician.

OSA is often, but not always, found in patients with increased body mass index (BMI), enlarged tonsils, small chin, nasal congestion, and patients with medical histories that include high blood pressure, heart failure, and type 2 diabetes.
