This patient came in with old metal-based crowns on her two front teeth that no longer matched the rest of her smile, along with a general desire to improve the overall shade, shape, and position of her teeth. Metal-based crowns are a common source of dissatisfaction over time, since the metal substructure can show through at the gumline or give teeth a duller, less natural appearance compared to newer materials.
Using 6 custom crowns, we replaced her outdated front crowns and refined the shape and alignment of the surrounding teeth, bringing her whole smile into better balance. Because these crowns were completed in-house, we were able to fine-tune the shade and shape with precision, giving her a result that looks bright, natural, and cohesive from tooth to tooth.
The result is a smile that finally matches how she wanted it to look: whiter, better proportioned, and free of the dated metal crowns that had been holding it back. This case is a good example of how updating old restorative work can refresh both the health and appearance of a smile.
