The office offers three options:
- Nitrous oxide offers mild relaxation, wears off quickly, and you can drive yourself home.
- Oral sedation is a prescribed medication taken before your visit for deeper relaxation.
- IV sedation provides the deepest relaxation and is administered and adjusted by Dr. Nelson during your appointment.
Dr. Nelson is one of a small number of general dentists in North Carolina licensed to administer IV sedation, so patients can receive this level of care without a specialist referral.
