This teenage patient came in with "peg" lateral incisors, the small, underdeveloped teeth found on either side of the two front teeth that can make a smile look uneven or asymmetrical. This is a common developmental issue, and correcting it usually just takes a careful eye for proportion so the finished result looks natural rather than obviously altered.
Using milled composite crowns, we reshaped his peg laterals to a fuller, more proportionate size that better matches the rest of his smile. Because of the way this treatment was performed, no numbing or drilling was required at all, making it a comfortable, anxiety-free visit, which matters especially for a younger patient.
The result is a smile with better balance and symmetry, achieved without any of the discomfort that teenagers (or their parents) often worry about ahead of a dental visit. This case is a great example of how small, minimally invasive treatments can make a meaningful difference in a growing smile.
